What if you were the ONLY Christian in your town?
Can you imagine not having a church to go to? No Bible studies, no prayer meetings … no one to teach you God's Word or guide you in your faith.
Without a faith community, it would be a lonely, difficult life, wouldn't it?
Sadly, this is the situation for many Jewish families around the world. Being a devout Jewish person is nearly IMPOSSIBLE in many countries.
… Some are all alone, with no other Jews for miles and miles to help them live out their faith.
… Some don't have access to or can't afford the special foods needed to live as faithful Jews during holy times of year like Passover and the High Holy Days.
… Some must hide their faith in fear of religious persecution and violent hatred.
The Epremashvilis are one such struggling family. They were the ONLY Jews in their entire town in the former Soviet Union country of Georgia… a different kind of isolation.
For years, Mikheil and Nino longed to observe the holy days. But the special foods they needed to obey God's commands in the Bible simply weren't available in their area. Even if they were, they would be too expensive for this family of humble means.
They had no one to pray with … no one to celebrate with … no one to study God's word with. Both their spiritual and physical needs were going unmet day after day.
Marshall, this isn't right. God's chosen people shouldn't be forced to live cut off from other Jews, hiding their faith, unable to do what God has commanded of them.
And despite a pandemic, this family was desperate to get to Israel. They were willing to undergo weeks of quarantine to go to a country they've never been to before. Yet somehow, it never felt more like home.
Please donate today to bring one more needy family or elderly Jew to their true home in Israel, so they can worship God freely with others without fear of persecution or violence.
The Epremashvili family's story reminds me of the story in 2 Kings 22 when the Jewish people didn't observe God's holy days for many years because God's Word was missing. Finally, King Josiah providentially found the lost Scriptures, allowing them to honor God once again.
God ALWAYS MAKES A WAY for His people. Now, He wants to make a way for Jewish families like the Epremashvilis to be rescued from "the four corners of the earth" … through YOUR sacred prayers and generosity.
There's a Hebrew saying recited during our holy days that means, "Next year in Jerusalem." It's meant as a prophetic reminder that God will one day return all His children to Israel.
With your help, vulnerable Jews — the "remnant of Israel" who are scattered around the world — will be able to say, "THIS year in Jerusalem."
