Temple Of Mexican Deity Built By Believer In Jesus Christ

By:  Marshall Ramsey II, Worthy News U.S. Correspondent

TEOTIHUACAN, Mexico (WorthyNews) -- As Mexican and American archaeologists are busy poring over new discoveries found underneath an ancient Mexican pyramid, the most important discovery may be right on the surface.

Sergio Gomez Chavez, an archaeologist at the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, and George Cowgill, an archaeologist and professor emeritus at Arizona State University, have been searching for the royal tomb they believe to be hidden somewhere underneath the Pyramid of the Plumed Serpent.  They believe they have come closer to finding it with the discovery of liquid mercury,  something that is rare in ancient Mexico due to its difficulty in mining.

"It completely surprised us," said Gomez, who was at the entrance to the tunnel leading below the pyramid.

Mr. Cowgill said that "finding the mercury increases the odds of finding a tomb," but added that "It's still very uncertain, and that is what keeps everybody in suspense."

Mexican archaeologist Linda Manzanilla believes that the city was ruled not by a single king, but a council of four lords at its peak, and that Gomez may find the remains of one of them

While locating the tomb of the long-deceased ruler would be astounding, the more amazing find, at least for students of the Bible, especially those who defend its accuracy, may be found on the outside, on the pyramid itself.

Photos of the (step) pyramid show alternating sequences of serpent/dragon heads and lion heads with the bottom of the steps having a serpent running across the length of them.  If one applies the events of the Bible to human migration across the earth and includes the account of the fall of man and the introduction of death into the world, and the coming of a Redeemer of man, they take on a whole new meaning.

"And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed
above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust
shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his
         heel." Genesis 3:14,15

Notice the lions featured, that they are bearded.  What is significant about this is that there are no bearded lions in Mexico!  This means that the "Temple of the Plumed Serpent" could only have been built by someone who has seen a bearded lion such as those that dwell on the African plains.

"And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on
the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud
voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in
heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look
thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the
book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the
Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose
the seven seals thereof." Revelation 5:1-5

What this means is that whoever built this temple, did not build it for Quetzalcoatl, but rather for Jesus Christ!
