| In 1869, Swiss scientist Friedrich Miescher discovered a strange substance while studying white blood cells. He didn't know exactly what it was, but he called it "nuclein"—what we now know as DNA. The discovery was groundbreaking... but it was ignored. For nearly 80 years, scientists didn't realize the true importance of DNA. It wasn't until the 1950s that the double-helix structure was identified, launching an entirely new era of genetics and medicine. The key to understanding how life is coded—how we inherit traits, how diseases spread, how we're biologically connected—had been sitting there for decades. All that time... the truth had already been discovered. People just didn't realize how powerful it was. And that's exactly what happens with God's Word. It's already been revealed. It's already true.
But many ignore it—until a crisis hits. When life gets hard, when the foundations shake, when the illusions of this world collapse—people start searching. And what they often find isn't something new... it's the truth that was there all along. "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever." — Isaiah 40:8 Don't wait to rediscover what's already been given.
Truth doesn't expire—but it can be forgotten. Let's not treat Scripture like DNA once was—important, but overlooked.
