World War III - Iraq To Israel: Don't Use Our Airspace To Attack Iran

Baghdad has warned Israel that it would respond to any attempts by the Jewish state to use Iraqi airspace for a strike against Iran's controversial nuclear programme, a top Iraqi minister told AFP.

The remarks from Hussein al-Shahristani, deputy prime minister responsible for energy affairs, mark the first time a senior Iraqi official has publicly warned Israel against entering its airspace -- the most direct route -- to hit targets in Iran.

Shahristani also said that Iraq had received assurances from Washington that the United States would not use its airspace to attack Iran, which Western powers believe is trying to develop a nuclear weapon. Tehran has repeatedly denied the claim.

"The (Americans) have assured us that they will never violate Iraqi airspace or Iraqi sovereignty by using our airspace to attack any of our neighbours," Shahristani said in an interview in his office in Baghdad's heavily-fortified Green Zone

Ancient Building Found At Tell Khaiber In The Shape Of A Cross

By:  Marshall Ramsey II, Worthy News U.S. Correspondent

TELL KHAIBER EXCAVATION SITE, Ur, Iraq (WorthyNews) - An even more amazing discovery has been found at Tell Khaiber in Ur, Iraq.  Professor Stuart Campbell of Manchester (UK) University's Archaeology Department found the remains of a "sprawling complex" near the ancient city of Ur along the Euphrates river in southern Iraq.  Ur is the birthplace of the patriarch Abraham.(1)

Various artifacts such as bowl pieces made out of alabaster and gaming pieces (ancient version of checkers?) made out of diorite have been found there as well as fragments of unbaked clay containing the names of Babylonian men and their fathers, providing some nice genealogical information.(2)  The most amazing discovery, however, is the remains of the building that was found there.

Built approximately 4,000 years ago, the building, which I believe to have been a temple, was made in the shape of a cross, like the kind that Jesus of Nazareth was crucified upon.  You can see the picture of the cross-shaped building here (2) with looking at the temple (I call it) itself here.(3)

The layout of the temple is most telling.  It appears as though, and I do assert this, that King Eber, father of the Hebrews, had received word from God Almighty that his Son, Jesus Christ, was going to die on a cross, although the name likely used was Jahu-shua.

NightWatch

For the night of 2 October 2012

North Korea-UN: Vice Foreign Minister Pak Kil-yon warned the UN General Assembly on 30 September that hostile US policies were risking "thermonuclear war" on the peninsula. Pak accused the US of wanting to eliminate North Korea by military force.

Comment: Pak is an able diplomat and a loyal communist to have delivered the silly speech he delivered at the UN. North Korea is the perpetual victim otherwise the hardships its population endures make no sense. The population is a victim only of the ineptitude of the Kim family and its retainers that insist on governing despite 60 years of overwhelming evidence of their incompetence as governors. No threat of a thermonuclear war exists at this time. The North's propagandists apparently are uncomfortable that Iran is the focus of international concern and not the North. That explains their reversion to the tired exaggerated formulations about the imminent danger of war. North Korea has no leverage for extorting aid from the US or South Korean when the world looks elsewhere. China dominates North Korea by dint of its economic investments and aid, relative to North Korea's poverty. The new Kim offspring seems to understand that North Korea is the only poor state in East Asia, a condition he apparently intends to try to change. He does not yet appreciate this will take a generation. Meanwhile, the UN must resign itself to listening to the same tired old tantrums. A thermonuclear war on the Korean peninsula would kill hundreds of thousands of people but, in the end, would result in the erasure of North Korea as a geo-political memory and would return the North Korean people to the stone age. The North's leaders know this.

Georgia: President Mikhail Saakashvili conceded Tuesday that his party had lost Georgia's parliamentary election and his opponent had the right to become prime minister. The final vote has not yet been published. This marks the first time that the outcome of elections effected a change of government. Saakashvili came to power in the Rose Revolution in 2003. His concession statement ensures a legacy as a leader who respected democracy, though he governed as an autocrat. Saakashvili will remain President until his second and last term ends in October 2013. After that the presidential form of government will cease and convert to a true parliamentary government, with executive authority vested in the prime minister instead of the president. The new Georgian government will be led by eccentric billionaire businessman and philanthropist Bidzina Ivanishvili, who made his fortune in Russia. Until recently he was little known to the 4.5 million Georgians. His policy statements are a hash of vague references. He promised to pursue Saakashvili's policies of making Georgia part of Europe and a member of NATO, while enhancing trade and diplomatic ties with Russia. Ivanishvili said Georgia's intentions to join NATO should not hamper the country's relationship with Russia. Russian President Putin congratulated Ivanishvili on his success. The US congratulated Georgia on the electoral process. The process is more important than an outcome that favors US interests, according to Secretary of State Clinton's message to Saakashvili before the election and advising him to not rig it.

Comment: The choice in the elections was between a pro-western set of policies and a pro-Russian set of policies. Saakashvili's pro-Western policies promoted prosperity for the elite, but not for others; did not result in NATO membership and did not obtain NATO support in the 2008 war with Russia over secession by Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which now host Russian troops. The electorate, in a free election, rejected his party and what it stands for. NightWatch judges that the election of Ivanishvili represents a judgment against Saakashvili's strongly pro-Western polices and the final victory of Russia in stopping NATO's policy of eastward expansion, despite Ivanishvili's public remarks. Georgia will now join the Ukraine as marking the eastern boundary of NATO and the western edge of Russia's sphere of influence. Ivanishvili, as a Georgian, will not be a compliant proxy for Russian, but he is not US educated and owes more to Russia than Saakashvilii did. President Putin welcomed the change. Saakashvili sent US-trained, Georgian battalions to Afghanistan to work with NATO forces. That kind of cooperation and support is unlikely under Ivanishvili. It also is not clear that he will resist the temptation to act as an autocrat by interpreting his electoral victory as a mandate to rule, as did Saakashvili. This is a study in democracy.

Iraq-Turkey: The Iraqi Cabinet has decided to dissolve a treaty that authorizes the Turkish armed forces to operate in Iraq. According to a senior Iraqi military official, the move is intended to end Turkey's military presence in the north, where the Turkish militant group, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), maintains bases. Comment: The treaty dates to 1995, when Saddam Hussain's government authorized the deployment of Turkish forces to control and suppress the socialist PKK. At some times the Turkish contingent was the equivalent of an army division and never less than a regiment. The treaty was a means of distributing the costs of regional security. Neither the Turks nor the Iraqi Sunni Arabs like the Kurds. A Turkish military enclave in northern Iraq to control the Kurdish communist insurgents was cheaper than stationing Iraqi Arab soldiers to control the Kurds. The reasons for terminating the treaty are not clear, but the timing of the action suggests it is a ripple effect from the Syrian uprising. Turkey is a primary backer of the Sunni rebels; tolerates the secessionist impulses of the Syrian Kurds against the government in Damascus; and opposes Baghdad's support of Iran and Syria. The government in Iraq evidently has decided to take action to stop Turkish meddling with Iraqi Kurds -- such as by encouraging greater autonomy. Turkish actions with the Iraqi Kurds are aimed at intimidating the pro-Iranian government in Baghdad to halt its support for the Syrian government. Moreover, the Iraqi Arabs viscerally dislike the Turks who once ruled Iraq as a province of the Ottoman Empire.

Venezuela: Update. Presidential elections will be held on 7 October. President Chavez faces significant opposition. More to follow.

The word of the Lord, the God of Israel

Hear this America, house of Israel, for I will speak to you. I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them. Concerning the destruction which I have planned for you, you say "It is not near; let us build houses. This city is a caldron, and we be the flesh." You were once known as the great melting pot. Many people came to you in search of freedom. Hear then the words which I will speak to you; Ye have multiplied your dead in the streets. I know about your gangs, I know about your killing your unborn. I know the plans you have to kill the elderly and the mentally retarded. I know your plans for doctor-assisted suicide. I know how you leave children, human beings, from your botched abortions laying in trash cans and laundry baskets, alone, without food or clothing, no medicine for pain, to die in them.

You are a rebellious house. Truly the bodies of them that you have killed lay in the streets. You feared fighting for what is right in my eyes, you do not uphold the commandments which I gave you concerning my Son, Jesus of Nazareth. Was not Sept. 11, 2001 a sign to you? The cross that fell from the towers, that was cut from the steel beams that held it in place, that gave it support, the frame of it; did you not come to me when you saw this? I say, You did not, but you rejected me even further. You kill your unborn by the thousands daily. Your homeless, you regard them as worthless. You lift up the wicked, and put downt he righteous. Them that would speak peace to you, you throw in jail. You proclaim good, evil; and evil, good. Homosexuality is a sin; it is death, it is not life. Beastiality is likewise. NAMBLA, GLAAD, GLSTN, you grieve me at the heart. It is as though a dagger to cut the bands of unrighteousness was in your hands to rid you of the evil that holds you down and binds you, yet you sell the knife to buy more bands still.

You are not alone. Your politicians and your judges take bribes. Mary Landrieu, senator from Louisiana, took a bribe for $300,000,000. Ben Nelson, senator from Nebraska, took a $100,000,000 bribe. It is not good for your state to not have to pay for Medicare increases and make everyone else pay for your part. All these things do I hate.

Therefore, because you have done these things, and not the things which I have spoken, hear this: You feared standing up to the Muslims that would kill you, or stand by and watch it happen, therefore I shall give you into their hands. I will give your country over also to the Mexicans that flood your borders and your streets illegally; it shall be theirs, because you have forsaken the God of your forefathers, the God of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson,... The blood of the unborn will I require at your hands. I will execute my judgments in the midst of you.

Concerning my people Israel, I know the war you have planned for them. I know that you seek to destroy them; not only through your treaties and demands against them, but also with guns and tanks and planes. Your emergency heavy-equipment drops, I know about them, that you mean to practice them for war against my people Israel. I know of your treaties with Russia, Germany, France, China, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lybia, Lebanon, Jordan, Ethiopia, and others. I know that you plan to bring many soldiers from many nations to gather them together for battle against my people Israel.

Have you noticed a phrase that I keep repeating, my people Israel? My people. MINE. I the Lord will fight against you for this. I have put up with your treacheries for long enough. Upon the mountains of Israel, I will judge you. Jerusalem will not be yours. You will not set up your world headquarters there, for I will destroy the buildings where they stand. With fire and brimstone will I destroy them. No flesh at all shall inhabit them. And you shall know that I am the LORD: for you have not walked in my statues, neither executed my judgments (to relieve the fatherless and elderly, the homeless and widow), but you have done after the manner of the nations round about you that do not fear me.
