House Church Pastor In China Detained

SUQIAN CITY, Jiangsu, China (Worthy News) - Worthy News has just learned of the recent arrest of another house church leader in China. Pastor Shi Enhao, deputy chairman of the Chinese House Church Alliance, has been sentenced to two years of "re-education through labor," an extra-judicial punishment handed out by police that requires no trial or conviction of a crime. It is often used for those who have committed minor criminal offenses or for dissidents and adherents of non-government sanctioned religious groups, such as house church Christians and Falun Gong practitioners.
Pastor Shi was detained May 31, 2011 by police in Suqian city, in coastal Jiangsu province, and held for 12 days. On June 21, he was criminally detained by Suqian Public Security Bureau. Those familiar with this practice say it is the first step in a legal process that almost inevitably leads to a prison sentence.
THE CHARGES
Pastor Shi is formally charged with "illegal meetings and illegal organizing of venues for religious meetings." This charge stems from the fact that Pastor Shi's large house church of several thousand members meets in various different sites around the city.
What makes for even greater significance of Shi's sentencing on this charge has to do with the events surrounding the Shouwang Church in Beijing, and its controversial decision in April to meet outdoors after being evicted once again from property it lawfully had leased from the Chinese government.
Critics of Shouwang's decision pointed out that when other house churches have grown too large to meet in one place without making local officials nervous, most have avoided clashes with the authorities by breaking into smaller groups which meet in different locations. The fact that Pastor Shi was charged and sentenced despite using this precaution demonstrates that this strategy does not guarantee that authoritites will be appeased.
Suqian city police's Domestic Security Protection Department has ordered Pastor Shi's church to stop meeting and confiscated the congregation's car, musical instruments, and choir robes, as well as church donations totalling 140,000 yuan, which amounts to $21,712.50 US.
CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION A FAMILY AFFAIR
Pastor Shi is not the only person in his family to have suffered persecution at the hands of police for the cause of Jesus Christ. Pastor Shi's daughters and their husbands have also beeen threatened. Shi Yongyang, Pastor Shi's son, has been to the police station and signed the sentencing paperwork under police pressure, but they have refused to give him a copy of the signed documents.
Pastor Shi and his wife, Zhu Guangyun, are both 55 years old. His mother, Liu Guanglan, age 86, requires round-the-clock care, which is provided by Pastor Shi's wife. Previously mentioned Shi Yongyang, Pastor Shi's son, and his wife are both in full-time ministry. Four generations of Shi Enhao's family have served the church.
ChinaAid founder and president Bob Fu expressed shock at the news and strongly condemned the authorities in Jiangsu's Suqian city for sentencing Pastor Shi. He also called on the church and the international community to express their concern for him and to come to Pastor Shi's aid.

According to Irrawaddy magazine, a respected publication in Burma, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) is on high alert upon hearing rumors that Burmese government forces are planning a massive assault against KIA headquarters in Laiza this week.
The KIA is made up of Kachin resistance fighters, established to defend Kachinese people against government Burma Army attacks. They seek autonomy and equal rights for ethnic nationalities within a federal, democratic Myanmar, yet do not consider themselves a separatist movement.

The crisis in Burma (Myanmar) has been called 'Burma's civil war without witnesses,' due to reports that the Burmese Army has restriced access from all non-government organizations (NGOs), international relief agencies, and independent media from reaching the affected areas. Fears of an imminent attack have caused thousands to flee, including attempting entry into China. China however, is denying refuge and terrified villagers are only able to find shelter in camps set up in certain areas by the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO). Those unable to travel to the border camps or are cut off from fleeing into China have fled to towns deeper inside Kachin State.
The advocacy group, Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), fears that unless China decides to open her borders and/or the Myanmar regime grants unfettered access to refugee camps to local NGOs and international relief agencies, innocent civilians will die of starvation, malnutrition, and injuries sustained in the process. Numerous volunteer workers are trying to ease the suffering of the refugees, and are working to provide aid, sometimes in desperate conditions.

Ingredients in thimerasol, a.k.a. thimerosal, a.k.a. thiomersal
A brief description of the toxicology of thimerosal:
Thiomersal is very toxic by inhalation, ingestion, and in contact with skin (EC hazard symbol T+), with a danger of cumulative effects. It is also very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects in aquatic environments (EC hazard symbol N).[9] In the body, it is metabolized or degraded to ethylmercury (C2H5Hg+) and thiosalicylate.[3]
Few studies of the toxicity of thiomersal in humans have been performed. Cases have been reported of severe poisoning by accidental exposure or attempted suicide, with some fatalities.[10] Animal experiments suggest that thiomersal rapidly dissociates to release ethylmercury after injection; that the disposition patterns of mercury are similar to those after exposure to equivalent doses of ethylmercury chloride; and that the central nervous system and the kidneys are targets, with lack of motor coordination being a common sign. Similar signs and symptoms have been observed in accidental human poisonings.(1)
Ethylmercury is one of the metabolites of thiomersal, which is used as a preservative in some vaccines. Thiomersal is the ethylmercury-releasing compound sodium ethylmercuric thiosalicylate, C9H9HgNaO2S, which is made from the combination of ethyl mercuric chloride, thiosalicylic acid, sodium hydroxide and ethanol.(2)
Ethyl mercuric chloride: Historic use in preservation
For the preservation of anthropological and biological specimens during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, objects were dipped in or were painted with a "mercuric solution". Objects in drawers were protected by scattering crystalline mercuric chloride over them.[4] It finds minor use in tanning, and wood was preserved by kyanizing (soaking in mercuric chloride).[5] Mercuric chloride was one of the three chemicals used for railroad tie wood treatment between 1830 and 1856 in Europe and the United States. Limited railroad ties were treated in the United States until there were concerns over lumber shortages in the 1890s.[6] The process was generally abandoned because mercuric chloride was water soluble and not effective for the long term, as well as poisonous. Furthermore, alternative treatment processes, such as copper sulfate, zinc chloride, and ultimately creosote; were found to be less toxic. Limited kyanizing was used for some railroad ties in the 1890s and early 1900s.[7](3)
Sodium Hydroxide: Paper making

Sodium hydroxide was also widely used in making paper. Along with sodium sulfide, NaOH is a key component of the white liquor solution used to separate lignin from cellulose fibers in the Kraft process. It also plays a key role in several later stages of the process of bleaching the brown pulp resulting from the pulping process. These stages include oxygen delignification, oxidative extraction, and simple extraction, all of which require a strong alkaline environment with a pH > 10.5 at the end of the stages.
Tissue digestion
In a similar fashion, sodium hydroxide is used to digest tissues, such as in a process that was used with farm animals at one time. This process involves the placing of a carcass into a sealed chamber, which then puts the carcass in a mixture of sodium hydroxide and water, which breaks chemical bonds keeping the body intact. This eventually turns the body into a coffee-like[10][11] liquid, and the only solid that remains are bone hulls, which could be crushed between one's fingertips.[12] Sodium hydroxide is frequently used in the process of decomposing roadkill dumped in landfills by animal disposal contractors.[11] Sodium hydroxide has also been used by criminals to dispose of their victims' bodies.[13](4) (Imagine what this does to the brain, heart, lungs, intestines, liver, etc...)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Worthy News) - Being a Christian in Uzbekistan can be costly. Just ask Galina Shemetova who was ordered to pay a fine of 2,486,750 som, 50 times the minimum monthly pay for giving a colleague a children's Bible. This amounts to $60,320US, four times the yearly pre-tax salary of a 40 hour-a-week minimum wage earner. Miss Shemetova not only had to pay the fine, but she was also beaten physically by police, a fact known by the Tashkent Court of Appeals.
Or how about Anvar Rajapov, who on April 14th of this year was fined 80 times the minimum monthly wage because religious, that is, Christian, books were found in his house. This fine equals nearly $100,000US.
The situation is even more dangerous for him. The judge issuing the decision did not notify Mr. Rajapov of their decision, indicating that he was not even aware that a trial was taking place, and local police confiscated his passport and threatened to kill him if he tries to appeal the decision. Mr. Rajapov has made a complaint of the situation directly to Uzbek President Islam Karimov and the Uzbeki Supreme Court.

Also taking place in April of this year, Tashkent police, along with special forces, carried out secret searches of the homes of Baptist Christians, confiscating thousands of religious texts.
On May 26th, Tashkent police arrested Amir Temur and Sergey Shilnikov, both Christian. Their crime: Having a Bible, two copies of the book of John, and two other religious texts. The charge: Introducing and illegally trading improper (non-government sanctioned) religious literature.
In early June, district authorities in Hamza tried to convince some local Baptists that their pastor, Konstantin Malchikovsky, and an Anna Portova, had sold them religious texts, without paying taxes, a charge punishable by two years in prison. In an effort to get them to 'confess' to their crime, some of them were arrested and held without charge, even threatening to arrest some of their children.
They refused. And when the authorities mentioned were approached by Christian activist group F18 concerning the matter, they did not want to talk about it.
The United Nations Convention Against Torture Commission has reported that incidents of violence, torture, and threats such as these are considered normal. Uzbekistan laws on religious freedom make it difficult for groups to obtain official recognition, and considers illegal any activity of unrecognized groups, even house churches where families gather together in prayer.

The thing about faith
That's the thing about faith. I still have to relearn the fact that feelings can confuse us, and sometimes even steer us away from faith. I don't have all the answers, but we know that God is not limited by anything, not even monumental monstrous debt. Also, stop beating yourself up. You could not have prevented yourself from going blind, anymore than I could have prevented my near-sightedness. I have a hole in my optic nerve in one of my eyes, that apparently I was born with. Now, I do not have any proof, but I strongly suspect that your condition is hereditary somehow. Just because no one else in the family has had this happen to them does not mean that you didn't get it from genes. Perhaps an ancestor had this and it was passed down to you somehow. Who knows? I do know that sometimes peace comes when we stop asking why, and start asking God what now, but when you ask him what now, you have to have faith that God will see you through. Once again, feelings will rob you of your precious faith don't let your feelings rob you. trust me I know. I still struggle with my feelings getting the best of me sometimes.

God says that there are many trials and sufferings in this world, but to FEAR NOT, FOR HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD...SATAN AIN'T GOD. HAVE FAITH THAT IF YOU TRUST AND OBEY GOD, AND THEN REST IN HIM, HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH. IT MAY NOT BE THE WAY YOU THOUGHT, OR EVEN THE WAY YOU WANTED, BUT GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH AS LONG AS YOU KEEP HIM FIRST ...you do the best you can and that is all you can do. . God himself will never ask you to do more than your best, but you have to trust and obey him. Marshall and I are praying for you.

Illegal immigration in the US
If you cross the N. Korean border illegally, you get 12 yrs. hard labor. If you cross the Afghanistan border illegally, you get shot. If you cross the U.S. border illegally you get a job, a driver's license, food stamps, a place to live, health care, housing & child benefits, education, & tax free business for 7 yrs. bin Laden death an occult sacrifice
Osama bin Laden's death was an occult sacrifice, involving President Obama and the Windsors. It's called Beltaine. It takes place on April 30 and/or May 1. It involves a ceremony called 'Balefire', used to 'unmake' a person or persons, a.k.a. Plucked up by the roots. Can you say antichrist? It also involves death, preferably by fire, and preferably involvoing children. Guns are called spitfires, bin Laden's son was killed also. Obama gives go ahead for bin Laden kill after Windsors have a Balefire ceremony, likely on April 30th. Bin Laden killed on May 1.

Beijing, China - On what is perhaps the holiest day of the Christian faith, Easter Sunday, dozens of Chinese Christians were arrested when they tried to hold worship services without government approval.
Members of the Shouwang, or 'watchtower', church were arrested Sunday after being told that they would be unable to use their church building. As many as 20 to 30 followers were taken into custody, said Jin Tianming, pastor of the congregation.
Pastor Tianming, himself under house arrest for conducting worship services without Chinese government sanction, wrote in a letter that he believes Satan, also called Lucifer, and the Devil, is using the Chinese government to try to destroy God's church.
"The devil Satan has taken advantage of the authority God has granted to the national government and is seeking to destroy God's church. His devil's claws have finally been revealed. Satan get thee behind me!"
Worshippers seized during the raid were taken away in buses, some defiantly signing hymns. Church leaders called for the congregation to worship outside the building even if it meant arrest and prosecution.
GOVERNMENT REGISTRY REQUIRED
Christians in China are free to worship the Lord Jesus Christ if they register with state-approved churches, but many Christians refuse to do this, believing it means the government gets to control what is said behind the pulpit.
The number of underground Christians in China is estimated at 40,000,000, with some estimates going as high as 80,000,000.
Up to 500 members of the Protestant house church movement have been detained in recent weeks. The arrests are being billed as a continuation of the government's attempts to repress dissention.
In China, any opinion that differs from the government is seen as a sign of rebellion. A similar political climate exists within the United States: Anyone who disagrees with President Obama's policies is seen as racist.
Shouwang church has grown to 1,500 members since being founded in 1993. They claim to have been blocked from taking possession of a building they purchased in 2009 for a price of 2.5
million British pounds.
"The Chinese government are playing a very dangerous game," said Mark Shan, a spokesman for ChinaAid, a Christian rights group based in the US. "They are pushing the church into a corner and other Christians, when they see how Shouwang have been treated, may react in the same defiant way." Activists have stated that the protests that China is seeking to keep quiet may actually strengthen other members of the underground church movement.

Although I generally disagree with the Catholic church, It is interesting that this story is coming out after the announcement of the movie 'Priest,' a movie about Christians fighting vampires, which are typified as devils.

These guys deserve a pay raise big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I make more as a security guard than this guy. As much as I would like a raise, he and all like him deserve more. He's not even making minimum wage. CINDY WILLIAMS was appointed by Obama as an Assistant Director for NATIONAL SECURITY in the Congressional Budget Office.....Military Pay This is an Airman's Response to Cindy Williams' editorial piece in the Washington Times About MILITARY PAY, it should be printed in all newspapers across America . Ms. Cindy William Wrote a piece for the Washington Times denouncing the pay raise(s) Coming service members' way this year citing that she stated a 13% wage increase was more than they deserve. A young airman from Hill AFB responds to her article below. He ought to get a bonus for this. "Ms Williams: I just had the pleasure of reading Your column, "Our GI's earn enough" and I am a bit confused. Frankly, I'm wondering where this vaunted overpayment is going, because as far as I can tell, it disappears every month between DFAS (The Defense Finance and Accounting Service) and my bank account. Checking my latest earnings statement I see that I make $1,117.80 before taxes per month. After taxes, I take home $874.20. When I run that through the calculator, I come up with an annual salary of $13,413.60 before Taxes, and $10,490.40 after. I work in the Air Force Network Control Center where I am part of the team responsible for a 5,000 host computer network. I am involved with infrastructure segments, specifically with Cisco Systems equipment. A quick check under jobs for "Network Technicians" in the Washington, D.C. area reveals a position in my career field, requiring three years experience in my job. Amazingly, this job does NOT pay $13,413.60 a year.. No, this job is being offered at $70,000 to $80,000 per annum............. I'm sure you can draw the obvious conclusions. Given the tenor of your column, I would assume that you NEVER had the pleasure of serving your Country in her armed forces. Before you take it upon yourself to once more castigate congressional and DOD leadership for attempting to get the families in the military's lowest pay brackets off of WIC and food stamps, I suggest that you join a group of deploying soldiers headed for AFGHANISTAN ; I leave the choice of service branch up to you. Whatever choice you make though, opt for the SIX month rotation: it will guarantee you the longest possible time away from your family and friends, thus giving you full "deployment experience." As your group prepares to board the plane, make sure to note the spouses and children who are saying good-bye to their loved ones. Also take care to note that several families are still unsure of how they'll be able to make ends meet while the primary breadwinner is gone. Obviously they've been squandering the "vast" piles of cash the government has been giving them. Try to deploy over a major holiday; Christmas and Thanksgiving are perennial favorites. And when you're actually over there, sitting in a foxhole, shivering against the cold desert night, and the flight sergeant tells you that there aren't enough people on shift to relieve you for chow, remember this: trade whatever MRE's (meal-ready-to-eat) you manage to get for the tuna noodle casserole or cheese tortellini, and add Tabasco to everything. This gives some flavor. Talk to your loved ones as often as you are permitted; it won't be nearly long enough or often enough, but take what you can get and be thankful for it. You may have picked up on the fact that I disagree with most of the points you present in your open piece. But, tomorrow from KABUL, I will defend to the death your right to say it. You see, I am an American fighting man, a guarantor of your First Amendment right and every other right you cherish. On a daily basis, my brother and sister soldiers worldwide ensure that you and people like you can thumb your collective noses at us, all on a salary that is nothing short of pitiful and under conditions that would make most people cringe. We hemorrhage our best and brightest into the private sector because we can't offer the stability and pay of civilian companies. And you, Ms. Williams, have the gall to say that we make more than we deserve? April Fool's day, New Year's resolutions, and dumb blondes
If you've ever wondered why New Year's resolutions are so hard to keep, it maybe that January is the month of double-mindedness. The word January comes from the word Janus, a mythological (false) god typified as having two faces pointing in opposite directions. This gives the appearance of instability. When people resolve to do begin things on New Year's day, they are participating in a ritual honoring spirits of double-mindedness, which gives rise to instability, confusion, and failure. A link between this and another well known and celebrated day is April Fool's day, a day set aside to honor deceptive practices which plants the seeds of double-mindedness. Interestingly, April 1 is nine months before January 1, the same time period for human gestation, that is pregnancy. The seeds of instability (lying) sown on April 1 gives birth to double-mindedness on January 1, the date most resolutions are made. What people are doing is participating in a ritual designed to destroy men's (and women's) minds. This may also be the origin of the 'dumb blonde' gag.
