President Obama Acquiring Chemical Weapons From Syria; Plans To Use Them In U.S. Drones

By:  Marshall Ramsey II, Worthy News U.S. Correspondent

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia (WorthyNews) -- The United States government, under President Obama, is acquiring chemical weapons from Syria for use in drone strikes.

Under the pretense of destroying Syria's chemical weapons stockpile, the United States will begin processing their own chemical weapons on board the MV Cape Ray.

Marketed as being used in the destruction of these stockpiles, it conflicts with a report from 2013 that the United States government recently destroyed four chemical weapons incinerators located within the United States.  The Pentagon spent $10.2 billion over three decades burning tons of deadly nerve gas and other chemical weapons stored in four states — some of the agents so deadly even a few drops can kill.

The United States Army is currently spending $1.3 billion on a project dismantling the incinerators they spent so much money on building and using.

The MV Cape Ray was built in 1977 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., Japan, and called the MV Seaspeed Asia.  It was acquired by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration April 29, 1991, and named the Cape Ray February 1, 1994.

The MV Cape Ray is currently in the Caribbean Sea heading toward the Mediterranean where it will meet up with ships from Denmark and Norway, which will then transfer a portion of Syria's chemical weapons stockpile for use in U.S. drone strikes.

The current position of the Cape Ray contradicts press releases from www.afp.com and www.defensenews.com/ which state that the vessel is still two weeks from being seaworthy due to the supposed outfitting of the ship with equipment designed to destroy chemical weapons.

The need for the U.S. to acquire chemical weapons from Syria is thrown into question by Frank Kendall, a top Pentagon weapons-buyer, said on Jan. 2.

"This is not new technology.  This is not a high-risk thing that hasn't been done before.  This technology has been used for the past 10 years to destroy our own chemical weapons," he said.

In 1993, the United States ratified the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), which prohibits the "development, production, acquisition, stockpiling, retention, and transfer or use of chemical weapons."  If Mr. Kendall is to be believed, it appears that the United States only started destroying its chemical weapons stockpile in 2003, the same time as the passage of the Syria Accountability Act, signed by then-President George W. Bush.

Another piece of information that gives rise to the belief that the U.S. is trying to weaponize and/or use chemical weapons in drone strikes is the cost.  According to an unnamed U.S. official, “The system in question is a neutralization system.  It is both more expensive and less reliable than incineration due to the need to deal with the millions of gallons of waste product.”

If the sea-based hydrolysis system is more costly than incineration, why go through the trouble of building it?  A safer guess would be that there is no intention to neutralize these chemicals, but the "increased cost" is the actual cost of building a sea-based chemical weapons production facility.

Another suspicious piece of information is the fact that the MV Cape Ray, owned by the United States government, is flying the flag of the Marshall Islands.  While it is true that the Marshall Islands were once governed by the United States, they received full autonomy in 1986 under a "Compact of Free Association" with the United States, and have been an independent nation ever since.

Syria's chemical weapons stockpile was picked up at the port town of Latakia.  Latakia is approximately 53.53 miles from the city of Tartus, which, in 2012, was speculated to be the site of a chemical weapons pickup from Syria by Russia .  It was believed at the time that Russia would take possession of the chemical (and biological) weapons and agents from Syria, process them in facilities in Russia, and then deliver them to Syria at a later date.

The drones, which are set to carry chemical weapons into battle, are to be used not only in joint military efforts around the world, but also with "combination forces," that is, U.S. and foreign militaries fighting as a single force.

Another mystery surrounding the situation is the need for rapid transfer of said weapons into international control.  According to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, the "amount and type of chemical weapons must be agreed and "rapidly" placed under international control."

The amount and type agreed portion of the statement suggests that only certain types of chemicals and weapons were held in interest.  That they should be desired for "rapid transfer" to international control, indicates that the United Nations has an interest in acquiring chemical weapons, not for the purpose of destroying them, but for using them, possibly on dissident or rogue nations and/or people.

While this conclusion may seen incredible, even conspiracy theorist in nature, it clearly fits the evidence at hand.  The only question now is, "Who will be on the receiving end of the wrath of the United States, Russia, and the United Nations?"

UPDATE:  Due to what is believed to be the revelations made by this report, the MV Cape Ray is currently not moving.  It is in a stationary position in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 10 mi (15 k) from San Fernando, Trinidad.

World War III - Syria retakes border town of Quneitra; Is An Attack on Israel Imminent?

By Marshall Ramsey II

A day after Syrian rebels lost the strategic and symbolic town of Qusayr to the Syrian army, they thought they had gained control of the Quneitra crossing into the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights Thursday.

Their victory was short-lived, however. Israeli security sources said Syrian troops took back the crossing after heavy fighting.(1)

The Quneitra crossing is in the demilitarized zone on the Golan Heights, most of which Israel seized from Syria in the 1967 6-Day War.

It has both strategic and symbolic importance because of its proximity to Israel and to the Syrian capital.(2)

CNN reported that clashes continued even after the army took control, but were less fierce.(1)

Syrian forces launched an assault on Qusayr on Sunday but are still meeting with fierce resistance from the rebels, as the town provides an important supply line for arms and volunteers from nearby Lebanon.

Qusayr is a key prize for Mr Assad’s forces because of its strategic location between Damascus and the Mediterranean coast, the Alawite heartland of the embattled president’s regime.(3)

Like Qusayr, which the army recaptured on Wednesday, Quneitra holds symbolic importance for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime. The town was lost to Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967, but was reclaimed in 1973 by Assad's father Hafez al-Assad.(1)

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the area leading to Quneitra had been closed off and that two Syrians who were wounded in the fighting have been taken into Israel for treatment. She could not say whether they were rebels or Syrian army soldiers.

Israel is worried that the Golan, which it captured from Syria in 1967, will become a springboard for attacks on Israelis by jihadi fighters, who are battling Assad.(4)

According to Hizbullah Deputy Secretary Sheikh Naim Qassem, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is serious about opening a front against Israel from the Golan Heights area, and that it only remains to be done.  This echoes recent statements by Assad that he is facing 'popular pressure' to open a front against Israel in the Golan Heights area.(3)

"Syria has real friends in the region and in the world that will not let Syria fall into the hands of America, Israel, or Takfiri (extreme jihadi) groups.  How will this happen?  Details will come later," he said in a broadcast on Hezbollah's al-Manar TV channel.  "I say this based on information....not wishful thinking."

Some of those friends appear to be Iran.  Iran's Deputy Foreign Ministry Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned Monday that unless the flow of fighting strength and arms to the Syrian rebels is halted, Syrian ruler Bashar Assad would launch a second from the Golan against Israel.  This statement, when combined with al-Assad's statement about 'real pressure' to open a front against Israel in the Golan, appears to suggest that Assad of Syria, Iran, and Nasrallah with Hezbollah, WANT the flow of weapons and aid to Syrian rebels to continue so they can use that as an excuse to attack and/or invade Israel.(3)

World War III - Free Syrian Army, a.k.a. FSA, and rebels, kills and Assad atrocities fake

World War III - Syrian rebels seize Israeli-Syria crossing

(Reuters) - Rebels seized a U.N.-manned border crossing linking Israel and Syria on Thursday, activists said, following heavy clashes between the opposition and President Bashar al-Assad's forces.

The crossing, in a U.N.-patrolled demilitarised zone on the Golan Heights, is the only passage between the two enemy countries and its capture seemed likely to heighten Israeli security concerns stoked by Syria's civil war.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the area leading to Quneitra had been closed off and that two Syrians who were wounded in the fighting have been taken into Israel for treatment. She could not say whether they were rebels or Syrian army soldiers.

Israel is worried that the Golan, which it captured from Syria in 1967, will become a springboard for attacks on Israelis by jihadi fighters, who are battling Assad.

Alex Shalom, an Israeli farmer from the Golan Heights, said he saw heavy smoke rising from the crossing, and Israeli military ambulances evacuating people from the site.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that fighting was raging in several areas in the Golan Heights.
Rami Abdelrahman, head of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said "The rebels have seized the crossing near the old city of Quneitra in the (occupied) Golan Heights."(use of parentheses mine)

An Austrian Defense Ministry spokesman confirmed rebels have taken the border crossing, which is operated by the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF).

Austrian Defense Minister Gerald Klug has cancelled all his appointments, a second spokesman said.

Vienna has warned it could withdraw its peacekeepers from the Golan Heights if fighting in the area escalates.

World War III Pt 5. - Israel's Take On The Expanding Conflict

(This is a work in progress.  It is being published now due to the sensitivity of information contained herein.)

TEL AVIV, Israel - Things appear to be ratcheting up on about day four or day five of World War III.  According to DEBKAfile analyses, Israel's enemies appear to be gathering their forces, possibly in (final) preparations for an attack against Israel.

On the Syrian side of things, they appear to be getting ready to launch a war front against Israel in the Golan Heights area.  The Golan Heights area, also called the Golan, was seized by Israel from Syria during the Six-Day war in 1967.  The Six-Day War comprised of Israel against Russia and Israel's Arab neighbors in which Israel's enemies suffered an absolutely humiliating defeat, and Israel more than doubling her size, including taking over some of the Sinai peninsula, although this was eventually given back to Egypt in a peace treaty that followed the war.

According to Hizbullah Deputy Secretary Sheikh Naim Qassem, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is serious about opening a front against Israel from the Golan Heights area, and that it only remains to be done.(1)  This echoes recent statements by Assad that he is facing 'popular pressure' to open a front against Israel in the Golan Heights area.

"There is clear popular pressure to open a new front of resistance in the Golan," Mr Assad told a Hezbollah TV channel.(2)

“There is clear popular pressure to open a new front of resistance in the Golan," Assad said in an interview with Al-Manar, the television channel of his ally, Lebanon's Shiite Hizbullah movement.(3)

He has further stated that there are several factors involved in the decision to open a war front against Israel, referring in part to the recent bombing of a shipment of weapons inside Syria.

“There are several factors, including repeated Israeli aggression," he said. "The next time Israel attacks, if it attacks, we will have a strategic response. A bombing against a bombing.”(3)

Israel is believed to be behind several recent bombing attacks against Syrian weapons sites. Israel is concerned that amid the growing chaos in Syria, unconventional weapons will be transferred to Hizbullah or fall into the hands of rebel Islamists (Muslims - insert mine). It is also concerned that Assad may try to unite the country by staging an attack against Israel.(3)

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has pledged to send tens of thousands of volunteers into Syria to fight along side the forces of Bashar al-Assad.(1)  Syria, he says, "is the rear guard of the resistance (Hezbollah’s fight with Israel), its backbone, and the resistance cannot stay with its arms folded when its rear guard is exposed.  “We are idiots if we do not act.”(4)

Syrian forces launched an assault on Qusayr on Sunday but are still meeting with fierce resistance from the rebels, as the town provides an important supply line for arms and volunteers from nearby Lebanon.

Qusayr is a key prize for Mr Assad’s forces because of its strategic location between Damascus and the Mediterranean coast, the Alawite heartland of the embattled president’s regime.(4)

"Syria has real friends in the region and in the world that will not let Syria fall into the hands of America, Israel, or Takfiri (extreme jihadi) groups.  How will this happen?  Details will come later," he said in a broadcast on Hezbollah's al-Manar TV channel.  "I say this based on information....not wishful thinking."(5)

Some of those friends appear to be Iran.  Iran's Deputy Foreign Ministry Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned Monday that unless the flow of fighting strength and arms to the Syrian rebels is halted, Syrian ruler Bashar Assad would launch a second from the Golan against Israel.(1)  This statement, when combined with al-Assad's statement about 'real pressure' to open a front against Israel in the Golan, appears to suggest that Assad of Syria, Iran, and Nasrallah with Hezbollah, WANT the flow of weapons and aid to Syrian rebels to continue so they can use that as an excuse to attack and/or invade Israel.

Is Russia About To Attack Israel?

Is Russia About To Attack Israel?

By:  Marshall Ramsey II, Worthy News US Correspondent

MOSCOW, Russia - (Worthy News)  The Russian Defense Ministry on Friday issued contradictory statements concerning a fleet of its naval warships streaming into the eastern Mediterranean Sea.  The first statement made said the ships were not planning to call on Tartus, a naval base Russia maintains in Syria.

The second statement, issued hours later, said it was possible that service boats from the group might call on Tartus to "replenish supplies if the time period of the trip is extended."  This suggests that the warships were intended to stay in the region from the beginning and possibly be used as a refueling station in case Russia decides to invade a regional country, most likely Israel.

Earlier in the day, Interfax quoted a Russian Defense Ministry source as saying three landing assault ships, an anti-submarine ship, and four smaller ships might call on Tartus by Sunday.  The ships are carrying about 360 marines and amphibious armored personnel carriers.

The source did not specify whether the marines would remain in Tartus or leave with the warships, however that still begs the question why they are there in the first place.  Additionally, the presence of armored personnel carriers, three landing assault ships, an anti-submarine ship and four smaller ships of unknown description should be handled with extreme caution.  To say that Russia is there to stop the violence in Syria would be foolish, due to the fact that Russia, along with China, has repeatedly blocked any attempt to combat Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in any form, and any UN resolutions passed should be seen as a complete farce, since any resolution passed is non-binding, and thus a complete waste of time.

According to Alexander Golts, a defense expert and deputy editor-in-chief with Yezhednevny Zhurnal, an online publication, the purpose of the ships is "to evacuate the personnel and equipment of the base."  This appears unlikely, as Goltz himself has stated, "This group is not sufficient enough to evacuate from 30,000 to 60,000 Russian citizens working and living in Syria unless the marines will be ordered to gain control of a landing strip at Damascus airport and help establish an air-bridge to take all the Russians out."  He did say that the Kremlin wants to have a military presence in Syria, although he attributed it to the "rapidly deteriorating situation," a reference to the current state of civil war there.

Boris Dolgov, a senior researcher with the Center for Arabic Studies in Moscow, doubts that the naval group was sent to the Mediterranean to evacuate Russian citizens which include "diplomats, mission employees, and persons working in Syria on contracts."

"Tartus is not a proper navy bast but just a repair port which can't be used for such a large-scale evacuation, said Dolgov, who has been to Syria twice after the conflict began about 17 months ago.  "It's too early to speak about such a serious step as an evacuation."
