Matthew 24:6-7 – "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places."
Mark 13:7 – "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end."
Luke 21:11 – "There will be great earthquakes, and famines and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and great signs from heaven."
The Signs
When the apostles asked him what signs would signal his return Yeshua answered that earthquakes, famines, plagues, wars, and rumors of wars were the signs that would be evident. Today all of theses signs are not only evident but are increasing in both number and intensity.
Daily the news is filled with accounts of wars and rumors of wars. The middle east is awash in regional conflicts. Syria is aflame. ISIS is rapidly gaining control of Iraq and Syria, and expects to also conquer Jordan and Israel. Iran is still building nuclear warheads. Russia is still making inroads into the Ukraine. Famines continue to afflict South Sudan and Somalia. Because of the wars, Syrians, Kurds, and other Middle East peoples are starving.
Ebola is no longer contained within Africa, but is now reported in both Spain and the United States, and is expected to be found in the United Kingdom within a month. The number of Ebola cases continues to grow at an exponential rate and its death rate is expected to climb to between fifty and seventy percent. Enterovirus EVD-68 is no longer contained to Central and South America, but is invading the United States. EVD-68 has sickened children all over the country and cases have been confirmed in forty-three different states. Several children have been paralyzed by it and two deaths have been attributed to this disease. Four people so far have tested positive for EVD-68 after their deaths. Chikungunya cases in Central and South America are reported to be more than a million cases. Marburg, a highly infectious hemorrhagic fever and even deadlier virus than Ebola, has broken out in Uganda. These diseases, pestilences, or plagues were not even a consideration at the start of 2014, but now each one of them is making the headlines in news reports worldwide.
Satan's Frenzy
Revelation 12:12 – "Rejoice, oh heavens and you who reside in them. Woe to the earth and those who dwell in it, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time."
To these signs, add Satan's frenzy. Satan knows his time is growing ever shorter, that he is about to be confined to the earth, and he is pouring out as much destruction upon the earth and those who dwell in it as he can.
Daniel 9:11 – "All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, not obeying your voice; so the curse ['alah אָלָה H423] has been poured out upon us . . ."
All Israel, Biblically speaking, is both the natural and wild olive branches combined, or both Jew and Gentile together! The word translated curse, is the Hebrew word, alah [אָלָה H423]. In English, the word 'alah would be pronounced and spelled Allah. In other words, Allah is going to be poured out upon all Israel. It is not surprising to me that Islam, under the direct influence of Satan (Allah), is currently putting forth extreme efforts to become the one-world religion, political ruler (Caliphate), and moral code (Sharia Law).
Conclusions
There is no doubt in my mind that we are in the season of Yeshua's return. When the apostles asked him what signs would signal his return Yeshua answered that earthquakes, famines, plagues, wars, and rumors of wars were the signs that would be evident. All of these are evident today. Yahweh, who declares the end from the beginning, has given us all of the hints we need to understand our current season! And, because we live today and the "hidden" scriptures of Daniel are also now becoming understandable, we can easily say that the season of Yeshua's return is here!
Final Thought
Today we are one day closer to the return of Yeshua than we were yesterday and tomorrow we will be even one day closer. For almost two thousand years the Jews would proclaim "Next year in Jerusalem!" I now proclaim "Next Yom Teruah in the clouds!" Prophecy continues to unfold as foretold by the Hebrew prophets. Repent, Pray, Be Redeemed. Yeshua Ha'Mashiach is coming soon – get busy reaching the lost.
