During the years of 1991 and 1992, I travelled with Pat Matrisciana and his film crew at Jeremiah Films as we researched sexual abuse amongst the LDS Church leaders over the decades.
I sat in many interviews with victims. They all told stories of abuse and shame at the hands of senior Church leaders [including the president of the church at the time] who either participated or condoned and hid the dirt from their people.
In 1993, I co-authored a book on the subject, The God Makers II with Caryl Matrisciana. The book followed the interviews and the trail of many tears we discovered in Mormondom.
The book was met with disbelief and scorn by some others in the Christian Ministry to the Mormon people. None of the scorners actually sat down with us or asked for more evidence.
One ministry in Salt Lake City went to the extreme measure of mailing an extremely derogatory letter to every Christian book store in America, we were told. They even had their charge of inaccurate extremism and half truths published by the Christian Booksellers' Association trade magazine.
This created a backwash of such a magnitude that our publisher, Harvest House, pulled the book and discontinued its sales.
Ironically, as the years passed, more and more victims and witnesses came out and confirmed everything we had published. It was too late to do anything about it. We had people to lead to Jesus and this had become too much a bone of contention.
Our credibility was damaged and we had a group of people who spent a lot of time trying to take us out of the ministry when they should have been reaching those lost in spiritual darkness.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because all this filth the LDS Leaders were sweeping under their heavenly carpet became too widespread to hide anymore.
It turned out that we just brushed the surface of the problem with our film and book. Recently, the carpet was pulled back and the demons of sexual abuse and corporate lies and deceit have blown across the church.
I am sharing the chapter of the book that was scorned and the subject of such derision.
I can tell you that every interview, every story was checked and double checked for honesty and accuracy throughout our research. I was there and was witness to it.
Most victims had not seen or talked to other victims in many years, yet their stories synced together to reveal a horrendous secret part of the LDS Church. Happiness is Family Home evening, they say. I say many such evenings were filled with horror.
Let me also refer you to the Elder Pace Document. Sexual abuse was just part of an evil, patriarchal system where Satanic Ritual Child a abuse was taking place on Church properties.

As much as the LDS Church controls the news in Utah. The victims of this corporate secret sin are speaking out.
One open letter to the LDS leaders by Lesley Butterfield
speaks volumes.
A simple Google search : "Mormon Church Sexual Abuse" brought "About 1,250,000 results (0.42 seconds)" If just a tenth of a tenth were real abuse issues, it would still be staggering.
One really terrible abuse came from a missionary training center leader. This abuser was the President of the Missionary training Center.
The list of known abuses would fill a book!
As I said earlier, I felt compelled to share this with you. It is still a secret, hidden behind the smiling faces of evil men defrauding innocent victims every day.
