This is a partial profile of the biblical patriarch Noah based on the belief that most of the flood stories found throughout Earth are variations of the same event. Additional genealogical information strengthens my already existing belief that the story of Noah is the correct account. I will not list that information here, but have included such information that I believe is accurate.
Has a list of alternate names in China: Fu Hsi, Tai Hao (The Great Bright One in Chinese), Bao Xi, Mi Xi, Fuxi (Fu "to lie down", Xi "vapor"), Fu Xi, Paoxi (Pao "kitchen" or "cook" Xi "sacrificial animal")
born: c. 2202 BC; born with mottled skin
location: Chengji (modern Lantian, Shaanxi province or Tianshui, Gansu province) lower middle reaches of Yellow River; lived at one time on Kunlun mountain (modern Huashan)
circumstances of birth: born along with his sister/wife after their mother Huaxu/Moye started walking with God
father: Lamech; white-skinned; fat; wore a rainbow colored coat
mother: Huaxu; was sexually promiscuous, committing adultery upon Lamech; The LORD God caused her to be barren until the day she repented and started walking in his ways; he told her to eat a lotus flower - this would cause her to bear children
grand-father: appears to be Pangu, a.k.a. Methuselah
known siblings: Nuwa (alt. Nu Wa, Nu-gua)
characteristics: was the first to be saved from the Flood (Scripture later states he was the eighth to leave the Ark after the Flood); seemed to be a fast runner (represented as snake bodies for legs)
known for: teaching fishing including fishing with nets, farming, cooking, domestication of animals, writing, music, metal smelting, preserving meats; instituted exchange of engagement gifts a.k.a. dowry; hunt with iron weapons; instituted marriage; made first laws; credited with the eight trigrams (symbols used to denote the human occupants of the Ark); made first open air sacrifice to God post-Flood;
activities: After men began to repopulate the Earth, they quickly left of serving the LORD. Certain of them in the Huaiyang region of China began to eating the flesh of their kills raw, that is, they ate bloodied meat. They ate until they were filled and then cast aside the remnants haphazardly. Often times they ate not only the meat of their kill, but they also ate the hide and hair of it as well. They also drank the blood of their kill. The men and women thought that they would gain the strength of their kill if they did these things. This is much like stories of South American tribes eating the eyes of their enemies so they might be able to see as their enemy does. This grieved Noah and Emzara. Then Noah looked toward the God of Heaven and prayed to him, asking him for wisdom on how to deal with the people. The Lord spoke to him, and afterward Noah went and lived among the people, seting up laws, teaching the people how to hunt, to cook, what to eat and not to eat. He taught them farming and how to preserve food. He taught them how to fish with nets.
