Fw: Female athletes deserve a chance to win

This is a worthy cause.  Please pray for them and consider contributing financially, if possible.
They're just asking for fairness ...

These girls have the courage to stand against radical gender ideology ...

Dear Friend,

Activists are increasingly revealing that they will stop at nothing to enforce their ideology, even to the point of erasing women from their own sports.

We're sure that you've seen in the news the increasingly disturbing stories of this happening-wondering how it's even possible in the America you love. And you may be asking: Is anyone doing anything to stop this?

Alliance Defending Freedom is.

We're in federal court defending female athletes Selina Soule, Chelsea Mitchell, Alanna Smith, and Ashley Nicoletti. They won't back down. Right now, we're awaiting a key decision in their case.

They're counting on you to stand behind them.

Will you help fuel their case and defend other Americans by making a gift right now? Bonus: your first gift will be DOUBLED, thanks to a generous $500,000 matching grant from a friend of Alliance Defending Freedom!

These girls know all too well how radical gender ideology can hurt freedom-and even how it can specifically put women at a disadvantage. Due to a Connecticut athletic policy, two male athletes who identify as female have won 15 women's high school track championship titles that were once held by nine girls.

Selina, Chelsea, Alanna, and Ashley have all experienced what it's like to work your hardest at achieving your goals-and then be set up for failure. Each has been unfairly pitted against men in athletic competition.

That's why, with the help of friends like you, Alliance Defending Freedom stepped in and filed a lawsuit against the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference. And last year, we appealed a lower court's decision to dismiss the case. We're now before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.

There's a real human cost to the claim that men can be women. When we ignore biological reality, girls and women get hurt. These female athletes have lost medals, podium spots, public recognition, and opportunities to compete.

BIDEN ADMIN SEEKS TO REWRITE TITLE IX

Members of the Biden administration have proposed changes to the language of Title IX that would alter the meaning of the word "sex" to include "gender identity and sexual orientation."

Government officials are trying to force even you to accept and affirm the idea that being a man and being a woman are just matters of self-expression, not biological realities. In fact, this change could not only deny women a fair playing field, but also threaten the health of adults and children, deny free speech on campus, trample parental rights, violate religious liberty, and endanger unborn human life.

That's why we're refusing to back down.

Simply put, your gift will help defend female athletes. Please give generously today to stand with Selina, Chelsea, Alanna, Ashley, and others like them across the country in ongoing cases.

Double My Gift

GIRLS DESERVE BETTER

"Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field," ADF Senior Counsel Christiana Kiefer, the athletes' attorney, says. "Forcing female athletes to compete against boys is grossly unfair and destroys their athletic opportunities."

If we do nothing, women and girls-maybe even one of your loved ones-will soon be forced to become spectators in their own sports. For Selina, Chelsea, Alanna, and Ashley, this sad fact became reality in high school.

"Throughout high school, I was forced to compete against biological males, so I know firsthand how demoralizing it is to work so hard to shave fractions of a second off my time, only to come in second place behind a biological male runner," Selina says. "Civil rights laws like Title IX were written to protect girls, not set them up to fail like the administration is doing with its rewriting of this federal law."

We're committed to victory against injustices like this one because we know that the attempts to undo Title IX aren't stopping on the playing field.

At Grant Park Christian Academy in Tampa, for example, the federal government was threatening to take away school lunches for underprivileged children if the school didn't allow males to share restrooms with female students.

Days after filing suit, the federal government agreed to respect the school's religious exemption. Grant Park Christian Academy received an eleventh-hour answer to prayer, but charter and public schools remain under threat.

Join us in the stand for fairness, safety, and reality by giving. Every gift makes a difference-and the impact of your first gift will be DOUBLED, thanks to a generous matching grant from a dedicated partner!

-Alliance Defending Freedom

P.S. While groups like the ACLU, which is fighting to uphold Connecticut's policy, promote the fiction that males who identify as girls are girls, Alliance Defending Freedom will continue to protect equal opportunities for women and girls-and the truth. A critical case was recently heard by a federal appeals court, and we're waiting for a key decision. Will you help defend female athletes? Don't forget-we'll DOUBLE the impact of your first gift!
