genome editing on human embryos - old news

I found this little article and thought you might be interested:  CRISPR used to edit genes of human embryos for first time in U.S. | Science News

It is an older article on a very disturbing topic, but what is even more disturbing is the ingredient used in said editing, SpCas9 mRNA.  You can read about it here:APExBIO - SpCas9 mRNA (ARCA, 5mCTP, ψUTP) (apexbt.com)

The Material Safety Data Sheet warns against bodily insertion of any kind:  MSDS.pdf (apexbt.com).  It also states that skin and eye contact should be avoided.  If any occurrence of ingestion or contact occurs, it says you should immediately call a physician, yet this product is to be used in gene editing even in the womb, on the unborn.  In addition to all this, this product is also an environmental contaminant that should not be let into drains.
