Is U.S. General Martin Dempsey getting tough on Iran, or is he talking tougher?

The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey yesterday issued what some are calling 'tougher rhetoric' concerning Iran's nuclear program.
In an interview with Britain's The Guardian, General Dempsey told them that an attack on Iran's nuclear program "would clearly delay but probably not destroy [it]."
Two weeks ago General Dempsey seemed to stress that an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear could only delay its program. He has also stated, "I don't want to be complicit if they [Israel] choose to do it," signifying that he will not encourage Israel to attack them.
While this may seem like tough talk to some, it appears that General Dempsey is afraid that Ahmedinejad and Iran might hit the US back in retaliation. And although General Dempsey appears open to the idea of an Israeli strike against Iran, he stated that he didn't know Iran's nuclear intentions, and noted that what was clear was that the "international coalition" applying pressure on Iran (General Dempsey would be very fat if he swallowed that lie) "could be undone if (Iran) was attacked, prematurely.
If anyone wants to get a good idea of what the situation in Israel looks like, go read Psalm 83 or Ezekiel 38. See if they do not match up with what is going on in the world today.
