It seems quite odd that a genuine believer would have any interest in this brotherhood of darkness - unless they have a motive. While many Christian denominations take no stance on Freemasonry, there are some that have outwardly opposed it. It is the result of hundreds of years of man's attempt to create church, only to have it turn into the corporate-like beast it is today. It began during the Roman Empire, with the accession of Constantine to the throne. It was the turning point for early Christianity, and the beginning of the pagan priesthood of the Bishop of Rome.[4] Constantine took over the role of the patron for the Christian faith, and the foundation was laid for today's churchianity. You see, true church and genuine fellowship does not require membership or a building, and doesn't urge you to become politically active, or invest your life in social justice issues. Church doesn't consist of cell groups along with a teacher that has their denominational agenda. It is when: "... two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."  Matthew 18:20 I know this information may be new to you. Perhaps you've already suspected something was terribly wrong in the Body of Christ. Please do not walk away from the Lord because of what you've learned here. I know that this can be terribly disturbing, and in fact gut wrenching - especially to those just learning about the vastness of it all. We are told in God's Word that there would be such a time as this. We never realized they were people we trusted and blindly gave money to. Find comfort in these words from Psalm 37: "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil....The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
