Dear Friend,

If you're reading this e-mail, you probably know that American taxpayers were forced to fund Planned Parenthood, America's largest abortion corporation, to the tune of $542 million in 2011. That's almost half of Planned Parenthood's budget – paid for by you and me. I can only imagine how much money we were forced to give the abortion giant in 2012. We'll find out soon enough.

But a couple of things have happened this summer that might change Planned Parenthood's coercive relationship with taxpayers moving forward.

First, the abortion corporation paid out $4.3 million to settle a Medicaid fraud lawsuit in Texas. Planned Parenthood stood accused of "improperly bill[ing] the Texas Medicaid program for products and services that were never actually rendered, not medically necessary, and were not covered by the Medicaid program."

So Planned Parenthood, who claims to "care" about disadvantaged women, was sued in Texas (and is still being sued elsewhere) for literally stealing from the poor.

And then the federal government took notice. The nonpartisan Government Accountability Office is now investigating Planned Parenthood's use of public funds – what procedures Planned Parenthood provides, how much they cost, and how many people Planned Parenthood has "served."

Live Action could tell Congress a lot about Planned Parenthood's "services." We've exposed Planned Parenthood lying about the abortion procedure, covering up statutory rape (to keep its abortion revenue stream flowing), encouraging sex-selective abortions against baby girls, and even aiding and abetting child sex-traffickers.

Planned Parenthood has been caught defrauding taxpayers, and now the GAO is investigating. That's good.

But we can't just leave everything to the government. After all, news has just come out that Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country are receiving hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to promote the new health care law. Even affiliates accused of fraud are getting money!

So as encouraging as the GAO investigation is, we can't leave everything to the government. They don't have the best track record.

That's why we at Live Action will continue our own investigations. We'll keep infiltrating Planned Parenthood, keep exposing what its own workers say and do. We'll keep informing you about what America's biggest abortion corporation is doing with your tax money.

I've known for a long time that Planned Parenthood can't be trusted, but now even the federal government is showing its doubt. Do you think an organization facing multiple lawsuits for defrauding taxpayers – an organization now under federal investigation – should keep getting our tax dollars?
