Kurt Cobain's Death: Murder Accomplices Exposed By Name

By:  Marshall Ramsey II, Worthy News Correspodent

SEATTLE, Washington -- The death of Kurt Cobain, lead signer of Nirvana, in 1994, shocked the world of music.  It echoes through time, even today, almost 25 years later.  Perhaps what echoes even more loudly than his death is the controversy surrounding it.

The official cause of death is suicide by shotgun, as noted on this scan of his death certificate:

(Copy of Kurt Cobain's official death certificate)

Photographs taken at the scene reveal what are supposed to be his personal effects, drug paraphernalia and some smoked cigarette butts on the floor, including the supposed suicide note he left.
What is interesting, and should throw up a bunch of red flags, is the shotgun shells found at Kurt's feet.

(Shotgun ammunition in a box inside a bag
at Kurt Cobain's left foot)
Let us say for the sake of argument, that Kurt Cobain actually shot himself in the head with a shotgun (that it was a shot to the head can be verified by the death certificate).  If that were the case, then the bag containing the shells would not be pressed against the sole of his shoe as it is in the picture above.  It would have been positioned above the toes and slightly to the left (if the bag were placed on the left side of his feet) due to his body falling and his left foot brushing against it, or it would have been more toward the center, between his feet, if Kurt had placed or even dropped the bag there.  The only possible "suicide" solution is that Kurt was standing on the box of shells when he supposedly killed himself.  Since the mouth of the bag was open, and the box does not show signs of being crushed in any way, and the position of the box in relation to Kurt Cobain's foot has already been established as having been placed there intentionally, this means that he was not standing on the box of shells when he supposedly committed suicide.
The only answer to fit this picture is that the bag was placed at Kurt's feet post-mortem (after he was dead).  This suggests that the shells were placed there for a photo op, something to help make the suicide story stick.  This means that Kurt Cobain's death was not suicide but rather homicide, and that someone, like the police and whoever paid them to alter the crime scene, had an interest in covering up Kurt Cobain's murder.

Below is a partial shot of Kurt Cobain's body as it was "found" by police:

(Photograph of Kurt Cobain's right foot, leg and arm)

The floor tile where Kurt Cobain's body was found appears to be 12" x 12" laminated tile.  This is supported by the fact that his shoe size was 10.5 to 11 US measurement, which is 10.5 to 10.9 inches, and Kurt's foot appears to be slightly shorter than the tile.  The position of the heel of the foot is in the middle of the tile.  This means that Kurt Cobain's foot was sticking into the wall behind the tile approximately 4 to 5 inches.  The position of his body in relation to the wall indicates that suicide by shotgun would have been nearly impossible.

In between Kurt's feet is the butt of the shotgun.  Note the position of the butt, that it is in an upright position.  If Mr. Cobain had actually shot himself in the head, specifically by placing the gun in his mouth (see death certificate), then the butt of the gun, after falling to the ground would have fallen to one side.  This means that not only was Kurt Cobain murdered, but that the crime scene was altered to make it look more like a suicide rather than a murder scene.  This is evidence of intentional police tampering, which suggests that someone with a lot of money or someone who stood to gain a lot of money paid them off to make it look like Kurt killed himself.

Two more photographs, both taken by the Seattle Police Department, further suggest that Seattle PD intentionally helped to cover up Kurt Cobain's murder are seen below:

(Picture of stool allegedly propped up against the door to the
room over Kurt and Courtney's garage.)

Note the glass doors in the first picture: large, single-sheet glass that fits almost the length of the door.  That the stool is in front of this set of double-doors would indicate that Kurt suspected someone would try to stop him from killing himself and he wanted to prevent it.  Why, then, in the second picture, is one of the doors covered up with a sheet or mat of some sort?

Note the bottom of the right-hand door, on the floor.  There is a discoloration on the floor that looks to be broken glass.  This indicates a break-in of some sort.  The caption in the photograph source reads that the door was blocked off to prevent reporters from taking pictures inside the room.  This bears some respectability as these double doors.

Another question is, "Why was the stool seen near the back set of double-doors instead of the front?  You can see the sheet covering the front double-doors from the street, as shown here:

(Front of Kurt and Courtney Cobain's garage.  A sheet was put up to cover
the windows to prevent photographers from getting a picture of the inside.)

It seems that the real intent of the police was to hide the broken glass in the partitioned double doors on the front of the room over Kurt's garage:

A statement by Norm Stamper, the former Seattle Police Chief at the time of Kurt's death, stated that "mistakes" were made.

"We should in fact have taken steps to study patterns involved in the behavior of key individuals who had a motive to see Kurt Cobain dead," Stamper said in the documentary 'Soaked In Bleach.  "If in fact Kurt Cobain was murdered, as opposed to having committed suicide, and it was possible to learn that, shame on us for not doing that.  That was in fact our responsibility.

Stamper makes further statements regarding the investigation and police behavior.  "It's about right and wrong.  It's about honor.  It's about ethics.  If we didn't get it right the first time, we damn well better get it right the second time, and I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation."

Let's break down these statements.  Statement #1:  "We should in fact have taken steps to study patterns involved in the behavior of key individuals who had a motive to see Kurt Cobain dead."

Former Chief Stamper acknowledged here that Seattle PD were aware that there were certain persons who wanted to see Kurt Cobain dead.  He also admits that the behavior of certain individuals who wanted Kurt Cobain dead was known to Seattle PD around the time of Kurt's murder.  He acknowledged that these individuals posed a potential risk to Kurt Cobain.  He also admits that the identity of these individuals was known.

Statement # 2:  "If in fact Kurt Cobain was murdered, as opposed to having committed suicide, and it was possible to learn that, shame on us for not doing that.  That was in fact our responsibility."

The statement above is overly empathetic for someone who is supposed to be unattached to the situation.  It is a known fact that certain people, when lying, become overly empathetic to a situation, that is, they identify with a person's feelings so much it seems like they are trying to force the person to believe them.

Something that casts guilt upon Chief Stamper in his statement is the phrase, "and it was possible to learn that."  While it does not initially look suspicious, it says that Chief Stamper already knew that Kurt Cobain was murdered but is saying that it would not be possible to find out because he was criminally involved.

Chief Stamper, with the words, "that was in fact our responsibility," acknowledged that he knew Kurt Cobain did not kill himself and, by implication, admitted he and others in the Seattle Police Department intentionally covered up the murder of Kurt Cobain.

Statement #3:  ""It's about right and wrong.  It's about honor.  It's about ethics.  If we didn't get it right the first time, we damn well better get it right the second time, and I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation."

The first three lines of this are shine.  They were crafted to throw off any potential investigators from pursuing the real killer and their accomplices.

"If we didn't get it right the first time, we damn well better get it right the second time," appears to be  Chief Stamper's conscience manifesting his guilt yet again.  It seems that he is acknowledging that the police made mistakes in their cover up and would look for a second chance to erase them.

The last line is extremely telling.  "And I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation" serves two functions.  1:  This casts off guilt from Chief Stamper and his employees at the time by suggesting that he knows it was at least a suspicious death and not at all suicide like was promoted at the first.  2:  Chief Stamper admits it was a suspicious death and not suicide!  He trips over his own tongue trying to exonerate himself.  Let us not forget that Norm Stamper was Chief of Police for the Seattle Police Department when Kurt Cobain was murdered.  The only thing that would happen by him reopening the investigation would be a greater degree of cover up, perhaps even the elimination of prominent Kurt Cobain supporters.

Let's take a look at the so-called suicide note.

When I first saw this note, I caught it at a glance.  While I am by no means a handwriting expert, even in that brief glance I saw something suspicious about it.  When looking a little closer at the note, I realized that the last four lines were a forgery, that they were not written by Kurt Cobain's hand.  Not only myself, but others have said the very same thing.

Taking a second look at the note, reading it slowly and carefully, this does not read like a note written by a man who was about to commit suicide.  It reads rather like a man who was about to quit his band.  This bears out.  In an interview with Courtney Love with MTV, she personally says Kurt told her he "hated being in Nirvana and couldn’t play with them anymore."  So if Kurt was talking about leaving Nirvana, why would he kill himself?

Many people believe that Courtney Love wanted Kurt Cobain dead.  If so, what reason could she have for this?  If the Kurt Cobain 'suicide' letter is to be taken as completely written by himself, it would seem Kurt adored Courtney, near to the point of worshiping her.  In the photocopy letter released by Seattle PD, Kurt seems to have called his wife a 'goddess'.

This article is an unfinished work, but still powerful enough to cast doubt on the official story.
