By now, you have probably heard about the train derailment near East Palestine, Ohio. You probably already have heard about the vinyl chloride gas that was released into the air. What you may not have heard about was the movie, 'White Noise', which came out in 2022. In it, a small Ohio college town ('College-on-the-hill' is the name of the college) is the site of a train wreck that releases toxic chemicals into the air, prompting an evacuation. (White Noise (2022 film) - Wikipedia, paragraph 2) East Palestine, Ohio sits at approximately 1,000 feet above sea level, which qualifies it as a small mountain or a large hill. There are also 54 colleges and universities within 50 miles of East Palestine, Ohio, the closest being Ohio Valley College of Technology 11.1 miles away. (Colleges in East Palestine, Ohio and Colleges near East Palestine (collegesimply.com)) The most amazing thing about these "coincidences" is that a resident of East Palestine, Ohio, Ben Ratner, was an extra in 'White Noise'.
