'Oldest star' found from iron fingerprint

These guys can't seem to make up their minds. First, we are told that the 'glory' of a star tells us how old it is, and how far away it is. Now the oldest star in the universe supposedly is closer than those at the starting point of the Big Bang? Maybe the only 'Big Bang' going on is people are trying to mind-rape us.
