A new facebook page

If you're on facebook, you might want to "like" the Av1611 page there. I only set this up today. Although the King James Bible Page got its start in 1995, I never got around to making an official facebook page for it until now.

Article: "O Lucifer, son of the morning" - The Sounding of an Alarm

Lately I've been thinking a lot about Satan's relationship and dealings with God's word. The very first thing we read of Satan shows him casting doubt on what God said (Genesis 3:1). I was reminded of the opening to Floyd Nolen Jones' book, Which Version is the Bible?, which demonstrates with clarity what is at stake in the Bible version issue. Modern Bible versions at once eliminate Satan's angelic name Lucifer and transfer the Lord Jesus' Christ's rightful title to the Father of Lies.
I've posted this part of the Book on the AV1611 web site and you can read it here. Truly, how could a Christian not find this act of blasphemy horrifying and contemptible?
"The wording in the modern versions reads such that it appears the fall recorded in Isaiah 14 is speaking of Jesus rather than Lucifer the Devil! The rendering of "morning star" in place of "Lucifer" in this passage must be seen by the Church as nothing less than the ultimate blasphemy."
