An Amulet Found On Cyprus Honors Jehovah, Jesus

NEA PAPHOS, Cyprus - (WorthyNews) An ancient amulent dating to around 1,500 years old has been found on the island nation of Cyprus bearing a most amazing inscription.
The two-sided amulet has both Greek and Egyptian markings and was found in the ancient city of Nea Paphos in southwest Cyprus. The inscription is in the form of a palindrome. A palindrome is a series of letters and/or numbers that read the same forward and backward.
According to www.livescience.com, the inscription, which is in Greek, reads, "Iahweh is the bearer of the secret name, the lion of Re secure in his shrine."
Iahweh is the Greek spelling of the Hebrew God Yahweh, or Y-H-W-H, which then translates to the English word Jehovah. According to the Bible, Jehovah is the first person in the Godhead, or trinity, and is called the "God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
The reference to Jesus Christ is harder to get to because he is not mentioned directly by name. He is found in the reference "lion of Re secure in his shrine." While at first, this may seem blasphemous to many Christians, they should not get so easily offended.
As is the case when translating a foreign language to that of one's own, sometimes words or phrases are encountered that cannot be directly translated or are extremely difficult due to pronounciation. Sometimes changes to names can occur due to the similarity of one name to another. In this case, Re, or Ra, the name of an Egyptian sun god, actually refers to Israel (formerly called Jacob). The existence of this amulet confirms recent speculation that Jacob/Israel and Re are the same person through Judah, who was called Djehuty and Thoth.(1)
A problem then seemingly arises: How does one make the connection from the lion to Israel? The answer is found in the book of Genesis chapter 49, verse 9: "Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?"(2)
That Jacob/Israel used the lion when blessing Judah indicates that Israel had a familiarity with lions and was fond of them. At some point prior to his death, the Holy Ghost made the connection between the Lord Jesus and the lion. Jacob passed the lion symbolism on to Judah. The lion, being the king of beasts, is related to Christ Jesus in the fact that Jesus is the King of kings, that is, he rules over all.(3)
Another clue that this gives honor to Jehovah is in the phrase, "Iahweh is the bearer of the secret name..." This is in reference to a passage in the book of Revelation: "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it."(4)
As you can see, this amulet was made specifically to honor the God of heaven.
