Decorated Boston cop in coma after being shot in face
BOSTON (AP) -- A decorated Boston police officer remained in a medically induced coma Saturday, a night after he was shot in the face during a traffic stop that ended when other officers fatally shot his attacker, the city's police commissioner said.
Officer John Moynihan, 34, was struck just below his right eye and the bullet remains lodged below his right ear. He was listed in critical condition, Commissioner William Evans said.
Evans said Moynihan is undergoing tests and is being monitored for bleeding in his brain. "We are hoping and praying there's not further damage," Evans said.
"He's a fighter. I am sure he's going to pull through," the commissioner said.
Moynihan and five other gang task force members, traveling in two cars, stopped a car Friday night after reports of shots fired, Evans said.
The commissioner said the officers had blue lights flashing but none had pulled out their weapons. He said video from the scene shows Moynihan approaching the driver's door, and the suspect, Angelo West, 41, of Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood, suddenly pull a gun and shoot him at point blank range.

Evans said West continued firing at the other officers as he tried to run away, emptying his .357 Magnum handgun, and was killed at the scene when police returned fire. West had a violent criminal past with several prior gun convictions, according to West.
(Always good saying the man that got killed had a violent criminal past to make sure the public think the victim is seen as a monster. This is a planted statement. Did you also notice that Mr. West was from the Hyde Park neighborhood? As is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, with Hyde being a homicidal monster?)
A woman driving by in a car suffered a flesh wound and is recovering and was in good spirits, evans said. Three other officers were taken to a hospital with stress-related problems.

Mayor Marty Walsh said Moynihan and the other victim are in his prayers.
"I have spoken with Officer Moynihan's family and Commissioner Evans and I am hopeful that under the experienced and talented team at Boston Medical Center the officer will continue on a strong path to recovery," Walsh said.
(Kiss Officer Moynihan good-bye. The 'gracious' description of the skill at Boston Medical Center on the part of Mayor Walsh suggests that he is in on the targeted shooting of Officer Moynihan. If he doesn't die, it will be because someone in the city of Boston saw this article.)

(More fluff given to make Angelo West seem like the monster he is probably not. This case appears reminiscent of the murder of Vamond Elmore in South Carolina by US Marshals and members of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). They are really trying to make Angelo West look like a monster, making sure the patriots of the United States know one of their own was killed.

He is a former Army ranger who served in Iraq in 2006-2007 and was honored at the White House in May with the National Association of Police Organizations TOP COPS award. Moynihan received the award for being one of the first responders in Watertown following the April 2013 gun battle with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.
(Not trying to speak ill of the dead, but the fact that he was honored by President Obama at the White House suggests that Officer Moynihan was crooked, given that President Obama honored him, especially if he took knowledgeable part in the 2013 Boston Marathon occult-style mind rape perpetrated by members of the United States government. Still doesn't take away from his murder, though.)
Moynihan had helped transit police Officer Richard Donohue, who was shot in the leg and nearly bled to death when police tried to apprehend Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Lieutenant Michael McCarthy said.
(Not sure if this is a planted statement. Whether it is or not, it seems to suggest that Officer Moynihan did something that his corrupt brothers in blue did not like, perhaps even doing something that President Obama did not like given that he was a former Army Ranger, and he was killed for it.)
Evans said Moynihan is single, and his girlfriend, sister and other relatives were at the hospital along with clergy members.
Two other people in the car with West have not been charged in the shooting, Evans said, but are held on unrelated outstanding charges.
District Attorney Daniel Conley said the top prosecutor from his office will investigate the killing of West as state law requires and it will be "completely transparent."

Ofttimes when a person tries to deflect attention away from themselves they will say they are going to be "completely transparent" or something like it. This gets the reader to automatically assume that the person talking always tells the truth.)
Such shootings are rare in Boston,but firearms are a major concern in the city, the commissioner said.
(Guns, a.k.a. firearms, are a major concern to who? The people of Boston? Or the corrupt city officials running the place? P.S. No accusation placed on those that are innocent.
A clergymen and anti-violence leader, the Rev. Mark Scott of the Azusa Christian Community, said he is praying for Moynihan and his family, and for a neighborhood that has been plagued by violence.
"There is much work that people have done with the police that has made our community a lot safer," he said.
(Even the churches are corrupt in Boston! Rev. Scott of the Azusa Christian Community is on the take to the police commissioner, either through direct association or indirect association. His statement deflects the assignment of trouble from the police to the public and suggests that the public are the ones that need to improve in the area of righteousness.)
