Upon reading the book, "The Element Encyclopedia Of Secret Signs And Symbols" by Adele Nozedar, I came across a curious symbol, the indalo. According to the author, it is a "prehistoric symbol of magical significance, found in caves in the Almeira region of Spain and known to have been created about 5000 years ago.
"The symbol is very simple, showing a stick man holding an arch above his head. The arch represents either a rainbow or the vault of the Heavens. Indalo was perceived to be a go-between between man and God, the rainbow providing a bridge between Heaven and Earth."(1)
Sometimes called Mojacar Man after the village of Mojacar, it has become a symbol of the village and from time to time the Almeira region at large.
What the author may not realize is that this is not a magical symbol at all, but a pictogram of an event that is mentioned in the King James Version Bible. It is a picture of Noah lifting his hands toward Heaven and giving thanks to God (Jehovah) for seeing him and his family safely through the flood and sending the rainbow as a promise to Noah (and a reminder to himself) that he would never again flood the earth to destroy all living things as he had just done.(2)
Note the similarities: 1) The arch - it is called a rainbow; there was a rainbow mentioned in Genesis 9; 2) The man lifting up his hands toward Heaven - this would be seen as a supplication of heaven and/or an offering of praise to deity for salvation from the flood; when Noah offered sacrifices to God after exiting the Ark, giving thanks to him for keeping them safe during the flood, Noah would have lifted up his hands to Heaven and gave God thanks 3) The rainbow acted as a bridge between Heaven and Earth - the rainbow acted as a bridge between God and man, a physical reminder of the promises of the everlasting God.(3) It is also the origin of the Bifrost(4) bridge as mentioned in Norse pseudo-mythology
Below is a picture of the indalo:
Given this information and the amazing significance of it, it is certain that this pictogram was made by someone who survived the great flood, perhaps even by Noah himself.
