Vamond Elmore Case
Players: U.S. Marshals, SLED, DCSO, CCSO
Name of Operation: Operation Intercept
Duration: Six Weeks
"Operation Intercept" ended on July 22, 2014. Six weeks back from that is June 10. The crime Mr. Elmore supposedly committed took place on May 15. A search warrant was obtained on May 28, 2014. Since SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) was in it from the beginning, this means that top SLED officials were contacted prior to June 10 by top U.S. Marshals officials, such as Kelvin Washington, U.S. Marshals head of South Carolina.
It stands to reason that since U.S. Marshals (USM) were in charge of the case (as they would be since Mr. Elmore crossed state lines), Operation Intercept would have been started by the head of the United States Marshals in Connecticut (CT), Joseph P. Faughnan. He would have been the one to contact Kelvin Washington, head of the United States Marshals Service in South Carolina.
A period of 13 days went by before USM and SLED began Operation Intercept. During this time, both Mr. Washington and SLED Chief Mark Keel were contacted about plans to murder Vamond Elmore, to which both agreed. Officials from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office (L.C. Knight) and Charleston County Sheriff's Office (Al Cannon) were also contacted at some point, told of the plans to kill Mr. Elmore in St. George to which they also agreed. (Most of the players mentioned in Part 1, titled 'Killer Cops: The Vamond Elmore Case' had unfavorable news articles published online by me. Mr. Elmore was never the real target.)
Earlier press releases in CT had Norwalk police (Detective Justin Bisceglie, lead investigator; Lt. Thomas Mattera, detective bureau commander) Lt. Thomas Mattera "very happy with the detective squads in getting the arrest warrant."(1) This suggests evidence at the scene was inconclusive as to who actually shot Jimmy Martinez, the victim in the case that was supposed to be the start of Operation Intercept.
Why then were they so certain it was Vamond Elmore who shot Mr. Martinez? Was it evidence? No. If they had to work hard to get the evidence, then there was not enough evidence at the scene to implicate Mr. Elmore in the murder. This suggests that Mr. Elmore was singled out for execution before Mr. Martinez was killed.
Again, if Lt. Mattera's departments worked hard to gather evidence for Vamond Elmore's arrest warrant, why were they still looking for witnesses?
"'We will be continuing to interview witnesses and looking for witnesses,' he [Mattera] said."(1)
This statement suggests at least two things: 1) It suggests Lt. Mattera had it in for Mr. Elmore from before Mr. Martinez' murder; 2) It suggests that Lt. Mattera got a judge to issue an arrest warrant based on little to no conclusive evidence. Remember, Lt. Mattera has already obtained a search warrant, and is yet still looking for additional witnesses. This suggests that Lt. Mattera's case against Mr. Elmore is shakier than he is letting on.
Or perhaps an arrest warrant for the apprehension of Vamond Elmore is not the real objective? Evidence to back up this claim can be found in an earlier article on the subject of Mr. Elmore's death.(2) In any case, the evidence is mounting against USM, SLED, DCSO (Sheriff Knight), and CCSO (Sheriff Cannon) and now includes Norwalk, CT police and possibly a judge, maybe a federal judge since Mr. Elmore's case crosses state lines.
If Mr. Elmore is guilty of murder (which evidence suggest hi isn't), then there is no good reason for USM to wait so long before taking action against him. There is certainly no need for them to wait 13 days before tracking Mr. Elmore's movements for six weeks during Operation Intercept, especially after waiting 13 days to obtain an arrest warrant.
The evidence suggests Mr. Elmore's location was known from Day 1, and that USM & Norwalk PD played a cat-and-mouse game, waiting for Vamond Elmore to reach St. George before being killed execution-style. A question now arises: Since evidence suggests that I am the real target of the players involved and the 'cause' of both Mr. Elmore's and Mr. Martinez' death (though I did not kill them), Is there someone hiding in the shadows even more powerful than the United States Marshals Service that wants me dead? Since we are dealing with national law enforcement (US Marshals), perhaps I have printed an unfavorable report against someone in Washington, D.C., someone who would benefit greatly from my "permanent" silence? Who knows where this case will end up next?
More to come, God willing.
